1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, purchasing, activating, or using Pomo ("the Software"), published by Silicon Apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not install or use the Software.
2. License Grant & Usage
Upon purchasing a lifetime license, Silicon Apps grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Pomo under the following terms:
- Personal Device Limit: A single license key permits activation on 1 Mac ($7.99) or up to 3 Macs ($12.99), depending on the plan purchased, as enforced by our license provider.
- Device Transfers: You may deactivate Pomo on one Mac using Settings → License → Remove on this Mac, then activate the same key on another Mac.
- Productive & Commercial Use: You may use Pomo for personal, freelance, academic, and workplace productivity tasks.
- Restrictions: You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, resell, lease, or sub-license the binary software or license keys.
- Activation required: Starting and running focus timers requires a valid activated license, except where we explicitly provide a separate evaluation build.
3. Payments & Merchant of Record
All payment processing, invoicing, VAT/GST tax compliance, and currency conversions are handled by our Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments.
Prices are listed in USD ($7.99 for 1 Mac, $12.99 for 3 Macs) and may exclude local sales taxes where applicable. Dodo Payments is the authorized seller of record for software licenses. Billing and refund inquiries may also be handled through Dodo according to their checkout terms.
4. License Validation & Internet Access
Pomo verifies license keys with Dodo Payments over the internet during activation and periodically thereafter (approximately once per day when online). If validation cannot be completed, you may continue using an already-activated copy for up to 14 days after the last successful verification, after which you must reconnect to validate again.
Silicon Apps may revoke or suspend a license if Dodo Payments reports it as invalid, refunded, or abused (for example exceeding activation limits).
5. Software Updates & macOS Compatibility
Your lifetime license includes access to all point updates, performance enhancements, and bug fixes for the major version purchased (v1.x, currently shipping as version 1.0.0).
Pomo requires macOS 13.0 or later on Apple Silicon or Intel Macs. While we strive to maintain compatibility with current macOS releases, we cannot guarantee operation with unreleased Apple hardware or future breaking operating system changes.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
Pomo is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Silicon Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the software.
